Dr. Yvonne Chavez Hansbrough is Lecturer at 火博体育大学, where she teaches flute and chamber music and is principal flutist of the 火博体育大学 Orchestra. 此外, she is principal flutist with the Glens Falls Symphony. Dr. Hansbrough performed with many orchestras including the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, the Huntsville Symphony (Alabama), the Nashville 室内管弦乐队, the Albany Symphony, Glimmerglass Opera, and performed 阿巴拉契亚的春天 with the Martha Graham Dance Company. She appeared as a soloist with the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra, The Huntsville Symphony, The Nashville Symphony, the Szeged University Wind Symphony in Hungary and toured Bulgaria and Greece as a soloist with the Varna 室内管弦乐队.
Holding a strong interest in historical flute performance, Dr. 汉斯堡演奏巴洛克风格 flute in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. Dr. Hansbrough recorded CDs with the Nashville 室内管弦乐队 (Alabaster Music and Angle Records), The Albany, Symphony, (Albany Records and NAXOS) Stones River Chamber Players, and released her own solo CDs “American Flute Music: Leaving the Twentieth Century” (Fanfare) and “Suites | Sonatas | Fantasias: Eighteenth Century Flute Solos” on baroque flute (2021).
She formed the Middle Tennessee flute Society, where she attracted hundreds of flutists and teachers to festivals and master classes 1990-1999. She hosted many notable flutists including James Galway, Jean-Pierre Rampal. She continued organizing Flute Day events 在圣罗斯学院. As a two-time winner of the National Flute Association Performer’s Competition, she performed at NFA Conventions in Orlando and Kansas City, MO. She was invited to perform at the convention in Atlanta, New York, and Las Vegas. She appeared at the 2014 British Flute Society Convention in Coventry, England.

Dr. Hansbrough’s previous faculty positions include New Mexico State University, Middle Tennessee State University (Tenured-Associate Professor 笛子), The University at Albany, and The College of Saint Rose (over twenty years as a Tenured, Professor 笛子). She holds music degrees from New Mexico State University (BME) the University 亚利桑那州(MM). She received her Doctorate in Flute 表演 in The Florida State University, where she was a University Fellow. She holds a 200-hour Yoga Teachers Training Certification in Power Yoga/ Vinyasa Flow/Hatha Yoga Interdisciplinary and 提供车间 音乐家的瑜伽. She presented workshops at the National Flute Association Convention, British Flute Society Convention, and the Skidmore Summer Flute Institute.
