的 organization 把爱写在她的手臂上 notes that “research shows that, often, self-injury is used as a maladaptive coping mechanism to deal with intense emotions.” 的 self-harm 行为 may be a physical reflection of what the person wishes to experience emotionally – namely, to experience 从痛苦中治愈.
